Tyler Truscelli: From Shop Floor to Tournament Champ
If you’ve been in The Wright Life lately, you’ve probably seen Tyler — helping customers find their perfect driver, restocking the wall of plastic, or talking about just how good the new putters feel in the hand.
What you might not know is that he’s been making moves on the course too. Earlier this summer, Tyler played in the Disc for Dreams fundraiser at Front Range Community College — a tournament supporting a great cause and an even greater excuse to spend a day chasing chains. Tyler brought his A-game (and his A-attitude), repping the store and proving he’s as dangerous with a disc as he is behind the counter.
But that was just the warm-up. Not long after, Tyler played in his first official PDGA event — and took home first place in the MA3 Division. That’s right, our guy went from “new to the tournament scene” to “unofficial shop champion” in one weekend.
